Conrad Dueck
dueck 6
Conrad began serving as the Pastor of CBC in 2008. He has been married to Lois for over 23 years, and they have four children- Lorianne, Caleb, Joseph, and Stephen. The “Dueck 6” enjoy traveling on road trips together, spending time outdoors, and serving Jesus as a family.  Conrad’s interests include jogging, chopping wood, reading Louis L’Amours books, and attempting to out-score Josh and Trevor in Fort Frances Men’s League Basketball.

Prior to moving to Emo, Conrad served as the Pastor of Children’s ministries at Gospel Mennonite Church in Winnipeg for 10 years, and completed his Master of Divinity at Providence Theological Seminary in 2004. He is blessed to have a heritage of faith in his family tree which he has claimed as his own.  He wants to use his gifts and talents in and out of the church to make God known and have people follow Jesus and have hope for eternity.

MartinsAssociate Pastor
Trevor Martin

While Trevor is originally from southern Ontario, he is excited to serve in the church and community here at Emo. Trevor is a recent graduate from Briercrest College in Caronport, SK with a degree in Biblical studies and a minor in Pastoral studies. Trevor enjoys playing a variety of sports and board games, getting outside, and cheering on the Jays. God has gifted Trevor with an excitement to study the Bible and teach in small group settings. He is enjoying interacting with the young and the old (and everyone in between)! Trevor and his wife, Nicole, are experiencing the joys of parenthood.

Henry Petkau
Henry is a trucker/logger.  He became an overseer in the summer of 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church.  He used to get out of church as soon as the message was over, and now it’s hard to drag him out because he would like to connect with as many people as he can.

Philip Whatley
Philip is the “jack of all trades, master of most”,  having a background in many areas including missions, medicine, construction, electronics, music… you get the idea. He first started attending Calvary Baptist Church in 1979, and has been an overseer since 2003.  Two things of significance are: 1) Philip has always had a passion to see the church function to honour God. 2) Philip’s leadership style is more like a shepherd leading than a cattleman driving from behind.

Phil Friesen
Husband of one, father of three and grandpa of six… seven… eight… nine (they keep coming!), Phil Friesen was born in Mexico but has spent most of his life in Stratton, ON.  Phil has had several different vocations including butcher and courier but has always had a passion for the local church and its people.  As a result he has more than 40 years of church ministry experience and a well-rounded perspective.  Phil loves to talk to people one-on-one, read and pray early in the morning and think of family statistics (a trait he passed on to his children).
